Quincy & Keokuk fanning....

I'll start this off with  Quincy and work my way to Keokuk.  This morning
decided wanted to do some fanning in Quincy just to check out areas I have
never railfanned.  I've been to Quincy enough times just never stopped there
for trains.  It was on my bucket list so was Keokuk so ended up doing both
because I'm just that bad ass.  Not. Haha. Curiosity was a main motivator.
So the first locomotive I seen was BJRY Alco #702 so take a video and some
pictures then swing over to catch an Amtrak Carl Sandberg before going
back to search for more shortline action.  Also explored a little and took
pictures of the Mississippi River and some bald eagles.  I seen an eagle
catch a fish.  They make it look so easy....show offs....if only i had talons to
catch fish!

BJRY # 703 ( Alco C415 switcher):

Amtrak Carl Sandberg (I think)  #4616:

BJRY switchers SW1500 & Sw1200 #1513A and #1513B:

Possible former Railroad bed it looks like it anyway maybe CB&Q (?):

Now onto the Keokuk stuff. I miss my turn to Route 24 on the way back
and end up on Route 96 and seen a sign Hamilton was only 28 miles.  I just
figure oh what the hell might as well hit Keokuk it's not like i'm far.  Two
bucket list goals on one day.  I was an ambitious one.  The traffic got on my
nerves trying to catch the switcher and didn't get a good shot but i took some
other pictures.  I was more annoyed with the frigid temps.  I hate winter and
cannot state that enough. I also don't let it keep me from my little fun so whatever.
On the way back I did catch the KJRY local heading to Keokuk at Elvaston so
I go back to Keokuk.  It was dark by then so none of those videos turned out good
but atleast I finally caught something passed La Harpe so give me some credit.  A
friend posted the heads up for that in the Keokuk News group so appriciate that.
I was driving and trying to get ahead of KJ ( not too hard to do they go like 10 mph).
I don't like bothering people but yeah was driving and trying to make time.  I really
hate bothering people. Oh well.  Not that stressed about it.  I am stressed now being
in and out of the cold i'm having hot flashes and chills on and off.  Serves me right
I guess.

KJRY video:

The best pictures of the switcher Prex # 149 (?)  I could get...ugh i know:

Will add some Keokuk yard pictures in a few:

And the bridge at Keokuk KJRY uses to cross the Mississippi River from Illinois:

Possibly the former CB&Q depot at Keokuk ( this is as close as I can get at crossing):
